A Lexington wedding photographer who'd rather watch than direct.

She gets there before anyone needs her and mostly stays quiet. Getting ready, a first look if you want one, the ceremony, the toasts, the dance floor after the older relatives have gone home. She shoots on mirrorless cameras with fast lenses and uses the light that's already there whenever she can, which is most of the time.

There are about ten minutes of family photos and a short portrait walk, and she'll give you something to do with your hands so you don't have to think about them. The rest of the day she watches. The frames people end up framing are almost never the ones somebody arranged. They're the ones where she was standing in the right spot half a second early.

Most of our Lexington couples book both of us, because Clara and Nathaniel have worked out how to move around each other. Nobody is fighting for the aisle, nobody is asking you to walk back in and do the first look again for a second camera, and the gallery and the film look like they came from the same day, because they did. If you only want photos, Clara takes weddings on her own too.

Photography starts at $2,400 for eight hours, film at $2,800, and both of us for ten hours at $4,800. Every package includes a planning call, an engagement session, a private online gallery with a print release, and sneak peeks within 48 hours.

The light is the thing here. Horse farms with black fences and long, low sun in the evening. Brick downtown. Church steeples and stone walls out on the back roads.
