Keeneland is ten minutes from our house and one of the best-looking places in the state to get married. The stone, the trees, the track at dusk. We'd shoot there every weekend if you let us.

Why Keeneland photographs so well
Everything at Keeneland was built to be looked at. Limestone walls, oaks older than the track, white rails, and a paddock with light coming through the trees in the evening. There are quiet corners for a first look and wide stretches for a portrait that takes in the whole place. When the sun drops behind the grandstand the sky does something.
We know where the light goes on the grounds at every time of year, and we'll plan ten minutes of portraits for the moment it's best. You'll be back with your guests before anyone notices you left.

Working at a landmark
Keeneland has its own events team and its own rules, especially during the race meets in April and October. We coordinate with them and your planner on where we can set up, when the grounds are available, and whether a drone is possible that day. We keep a small footprint: two people, two cameras, no light stands in the paddock.

No. We're an independent studio in Lexington. Keeneland's own events team handles the venue. We handle the pictures and the film, and we coordinate with them closely.
